This listing is for a nice used Gentex auto dimming OnStar inside rearview mirror with 3.5" backup camera display & along with a brand new CMOS backup camera that installs in place of one of the license lamps. This mirror will fit the 2008-2009-2010 Cadillac CTS vehicles that have a 16 pin connector for the mirror plug.  If your vehicle currently has an autodimming inside mirror (WITHOUT the "smartbeam" automatic high beam option only), adding the backup camera mirror only requires you to add a video cable to the existing mirror (video cable is included with the mirror). NOTE: On some of these vehicles, an automatic highbeam control option is available, and whether or not the vehicle has the actual option, sometimes the wiring is already in place in the existing mirror connector...if so, this wiring must be removed prior to replacing your mirror (please contact us if you are unsure). Also included is a brand new CMOS backup camera that mounts in place of one of the license plate lamps.  Remove the existing lamp assembly, then insert the light bulb into the new camera/lamp assembly & install the camera/lamp assembly in your vehicle.  This camera has guidelines which cannot be disabled (see last pic).  Please note that detailed/step-by-step instructions are NOT included with this kit.  Installation is pretty straightforward - install the camera in place of one of the reverse lights, connect the camera power cable to one of the reverse lights, then run the camera video cable from the rear of the vehicle to the under-dash area on the driver's side of the vehicle.  Install the RCA female cable in the existing 16 pin mirror connector, run this cable down to the bottom of the dash & connect it to the camera cable coming from the rear of the vehicle.  For more detailed information, you should be able to find this online or on a CTS forum. NOTE: Some GM vehicles have a microphone on the bottom of the mirror.  If yours does, you will have to separately purchase and install a microphone relocation kit - we have these available in our Pricetronic store. If a replacement item is requested PRIOR to the return of a supposedly defective item, purchaser must pay for the replacement item including shipping and will then receive a refund for the purchase price of item only after defective item has been returned. If a replacement item is not requested prior to the return of the supposedly defective item, then the purchaser must first ship the defective item, with shipping the responsibility of the purchaser, back to the Company. This Warranty does not apply to any product or part thereof which has been damaged through alteration, improper installation, mishandling, misuse, neglect, or accident.
