This is our premium Avalanche camera kit with guidelines!  Now easily add a backup camera to your Avalanche or EXT without spending a fortune! This camera will mount into your existing handle bezel and allow you to see the rear bumper and trailer hitch for easy connections - even at night!
This kit is a nice addition to your Avalanche or EXT and comes with all the wiring and connectors to install into your truck (additional navigation interface may be required if wiring to factory navi - see installation information for more info).  NO MONITOR IS INCLUDED IN THIS KIT. This package contains:

Note: If you are planning to use your factory navigation radio as the monitor you will need to have it flashed for a backup camera by your dealer before installing this camera system.  You can add a navigation interface pigtail to your order if you plan to interface this camera to your factory navigation.
-The CS-GMVSS1 is for 07-11 trucks that came from the factory with navigation and includes a female RCA adapter with two pins that get put into your existing VSS harness plug.
-The CS-GMVSS2 is for instances where a 07-11 factory navigation unit was added and the actual brown VSS connector was not included with the OEM navigation unit. CS-GMVSS2 contains the female RCA adapter already installed in a factory brown VSS connector that will plug into the back of your navi unit.

Installation
You will need to drill a hole in the bezel of your tailgate handle for the included low profile camera to pass through. The hole saw and instructions are included and it is a very simple process that may not even require the bezel to be removed from the truck.
If you are planning to use your factory navigation radio as the monitor you will need to have it flashed for a backup camera by your dealer before installing this camera system. Also, for a simple connection to your navigation screen you can use our CS-GMVSS RCA adapter.
The reverse activated power will be tapped into the reverse light power source at the rear of the truck. Detailed instructions are included that walk you through the process!
